I have always been intrigued by mysteries of the unknown, and the sculptures at Easter Island, certainly fall into that category. Such a look of determination and focus, what are they thinking about? What have they seen?

Perhaps they are not carvings at all. What if they were an ancient race that were wiped out by a volcano and cast in lava after being covered in ash, Pompeii style?

I am a huge fan of the literary works of Erich Von Däniken, and one cannot read his works without being forced to ask questions, and re-evaluate their thinking. I strongly recommend to anyone interested in finding out more, to get a copy of The Chariots of the Gods and have a read. I am sure that anyone who reads it with an open mind will have their perspective of life on Earth altered to some degree.
