What a fun piece, and what an honour to have the opportunity to create this image. I was asked to be Daniel's best man at his wedding to Liz, and for his buck's night, I wanted to do some stubby holders to mark the occasion.
Seeing as how it was a Buck's night, I thought I would base the image on the painting, Monarch of the Glen, due to it heavily featuring a large male deer. So I took a photo of Daniel that I thought fitted onto the buck's head, and drew the two elements as one. I had one night to draw this piece, which was the night that I took the photo, so there was no time to waste, as the deadline to get the coolers on time, was the next morning.
The image was completed on time, and a short run of 25 stubby holders was created for the night, which went off without a hitch.
